Hey Reader, If you want to expand your horizons a bit when it comes to fun places to go, I have a great hack for your. Use your social media! I do this on Instagram, but it works on Facebook as well. Start by liking and following places you already go to and like.👍 Then like and follow places you'd like to visit. The algorithm will see your preferences and start "feeding" you similar places. As things that interest you come across your feed, follow and like them. Then....and this is important...SAVE THOSE POSTS. When you save them, it's like you have a file of places that you can refer to when you want to plan something. That's how I found this super cute, authentic Italian restaurant with the best food and cutest decor called Impero Italiano. My friend, Meredyth and I enjoyed a delicious lunch there! How to save and find posts on Instagram How to save and find posts on Facebook THRIVE through ServingI have served this week through Legislative Advocacy. As a Jesus follower, I am called to care for vulnerable people. The hungry, thirsty, naked, stranger, and prisoner. (Matthew 25:34-36). One way to do this is to pay attention to what is going on in government that could help or harm others, then advocate for them. What an easy way to serve others that you can do right from your phone! Thrive through LearningI just finished reading Rebuilding Your Life After A Gray Divorce: A Path to Healing, Significance, and Joy by my friend, Pat Fenner Gray Divorce is defined getting divorced after age 50. And getting divorced at this age, which can come after a long marriage, presents unique challenges. Pat has been there and offers practical and encouraging advice to those who find themselves in this situation. P.S. - I'm not divorced or getting a divorce, but wanted to tell you about this resource that can help many in our community. What is saving my life this winterIt is COLD. And when you're inside with the heat running all day, it is DRY!!!! These things are saving me right now: This humidifier for the bedroom - I was waking up parched and with a headache every morning. I figured out it was because I was so dehydrated. Putting this humidifier by my bed has helped a lot. This shampoo and conditioner - Since I quit coloring my hair a couple of years ago, the texture has changed. It is much dryer and has less body. When I bought this Full of Life Collection from LimeLife by Alcone, I noticed a big difference after one washing. My hair was so clean, but was not stripped of the natural oils. It was soft and had much more body. Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Finishing Spray - Is your hair FLAT???? Spray this on dry hair at the roots to puff that do right up! Dry skin? Add this hydrating serum from La Roche-Posay to your skin care regimen. Put it on clean, damp skin and follow with the rest of your skincare. What do you do to combat the effects of dry heat in the winter? Write back and tell me! I'd love to share everyone's tips with the rest of our community! Hey Reader, When I was a little girl in the early 60's my parents both worked shift work. Mom worked days and Dad worked nights, which meant that Dad took care of my sister and me during the day. I have a vivid memory of running errands with my dad on weekday mornings. 💵We went to the Police Department to pick up his pay check. 💈To the barbershop for him to...

I spent most of May watching all the end of year grandkid programs and teaching my 16 year old grandson how to drive. That last one was a lot more time consuming than I anticipated and at times I felt like I had bitten off more than I could chew! One way I survived it was to make a Starbucks run every time we went out...
