๐ŸŽตA Game to Move You, A Coach to Guide You & A Way to Serve!๐Ÿ™

Hey Reader,

Fun has been on the front burner this week!!!๐ŸŽ‰

My daughter, Allison, celebrated her birthday with a girls' night out at a local restaurant and bar.

We enjoyed lots of great food and drinks with the ladies in our family and Allison's friends and neighbors.

๐ŸŽตAnd the most fun of all - MUSIC BINGO!๐ŸŽต

Have you ever played?

โ€‹

You get a regular BINGO card with song titles.๐ŸŽต

The DJ plays clips and you cross off the square of the songs he plays.

There were no songs from the 70's played๐Ÿ•บ.

In fact, I don't think there was one song included that was released before the year 2000!

But as the OLDEST person there, I am really proud of the number of songs I knew. I think those young girls were surprised.

Reminds me of Name that Tune! Remember that game show? Write back and tell me a favorite TV game show from your younger years!

Thrive through LEARNING

What did I learn this week? More about myself!

I had a session with Christian Life Coach, Renee Bethel.

Prior to our session I took an Enneagram assessment.

In our session, we talked about my personality characteristics based on my Enneagram number (Mine is 1 - no one is surprised).

But Renee asked me some questions that helped me dig a little deeper.

My one big take away from this session is why I go through the roof when my husband interacts with me in a certain way. His interaction is not wrong or mean. But it does set me off.

When that light came on in my brain, I was able to articulate to him WHY I react that way. And we talked about ways that he could tell me what he wants to tell me in a way that helps me hear him instead of going berserk. It has helped our communication tremendously.

And that was just one session!

From Renee:

As an Enneagram Life Coach I help Christian moms and Grandmothers explore their identity in Christ, discover how they are uniquely designed in the image of God and develop deeper connections and healthier relationships with God, themselves and their children and grandchildren.

Life coaching provides a framework to help you dig deeper and explore more than you would on your own. It helps you get unstuck and move forward filled with expectancy for whatโ€™s possible.

I found Renee compassionate and insightful to work with. It was a fun and interesting hour with her. What I gained from our session was invaluable.

We are never too old to learn more about ourselves and to improve our relationships with others!

Thrive through SERVING OTHERS

I continue to serve as a Prayer Angel with Chemo Angels.

Once or twice a week I get a digest of prayer requests submitted by patients going through chemo.

Each digest has 2 or 3 requests for which to pray.

I tell you this because I have been on prayer chains/lists in the past and it can be a lot. Lots of requests coming in all the time and it's overwhelming.

Not with Chemo Angels. Since there are fewer requests and they only come a couple of times a week, it's easier to take the time to sit down and really pray.

Other options with Chemo Angels are:

Traditional Chemo Angel: Supporting a cancer patient through weekly cards, small gifts or encouraging notes through the duration of their treatment.

Card Angel: Support a cancer patient by sending one card or note a week for the duration of their treatment.

That's it for this week!

Write back and tell me your favorite TV game show!

Until next time,
